HOW TO GET TO THE FORT FROM PLYMOUTH RAILWAY/BUS STATION

When you arrive at the railway station or bus station you should find plenty of taxis waiting to take you to your next destination.

Option 1 – Taxi via Torpoint Ferry

Take a taxi to the Torpoint Ferry, this will cost around £5 - £6. The ferries run all day and night, however between 9.30 p.m. and 6.00 am. There is only a half hourly service. Get on the ferry as a foot passenger – this is free -  then when you get to Torpoint you can either phone ahead for a taxi whilst on the ferry to Cremyll Cabs 01752 822196 or walk up to the taxi rank in Torpoint main street (around 5 minutes walk). Take the taxi to the Fort or your hotel. This will cost around £15.00 to £20.00.

Option 2 – Taxi via Cremyll Ferry

Take a taxi to the Cremyll Ferry, this will cost around £5 - £6. The ferries run only during the day on a half hourly service up to 6.00 p.m. A full time table can be obtained from Cremll Ferry on 01752 822105. Get on the ferry as a foot passenger – this costs around £3.00  -  then when you get to Cremyll you can  phone for a taxi  - Cremyll Cabs 01752 822196.  Take the taxi to the fort or your hotel. This will cost around £5 - £6.00.

Option 3 – Bus via Torpoint Ferry

First Bus Company runs a regular bus services to Rame, Cawsand, Millbrook The number bus you require is a 80a, 80b, 81 or 81a.
